This seven day loop is a fully supported and guided road/gravel bike tour through the best parts of rural Colorado featuring premier orchards, vineyards and distilleries.

Tour Details

This route features the best parts of the Colorado Trail and the Continental Divide trail in a well curated loop through the Colorado high country.

Since its completion more than 30 years ago, The Colorado Trail has become known as one of the premier long-distance trails in the country, lauded by hikers, backpackers, mountain bikers and horse riders from around the world. The Colorado Trail stretches 567 miles between Denver and Durango and passes through some of the most spectacular scenery in the Colorado Rockies. Treat yourself to high mountain lakes and the majestic peaks several of Colorado’s mountain ranges.

The Continental Divide Trail spans from Canada to Mexico along the Continental Divide. The Colorado portion of this trail features the highest elevations, largest peaks and best single track of the route.

Itinerary

Day 1Aspen - Marble

The ride from Breckenridge to Hartsel begins with a steady 1,000′ climb up Boreas Pass Road for 17 miles to the top of the Continental Divide at 11,469′. The next 30 miles descend through Como, down to Highway 24 and in to Hartsel Ranch.

Day 2Marble - Crawford

This 72 mile route climbs 5,070′ over undulating climbs through the scenic mountains between Hartsel and Salida. The last 11 miles descends nearly 3000′ into Salida.

Day 3Crawford, Hotchkiss, Paonia Ramble

Day three features one of the word’s great mountain biking experiences, the 38 mile Monarch Crest Trail. We shuttle riders to near the top of Monarch Pass where a riders climb to the top of Monarch Crest and descend 15 miles of classic Colorado single-track.

Day 4Crawford - Palisade

The 94.5 mile ride from Monarch to Leadville climbs over 10,000′ though we will shuttle 16 miles of Highway 24 reducing the ride to 78.5 miles.

Day 5Colorado Monument Loop

The final day of this tour rides 52.2 miles over 7500′ of climbing through the beautiful ranges enroute to Breckenridge.
